In short
We want everyone to be able to read our menu, find us and book a table. If anything on this website gets in your way, call or email us: we will help you directly and fix it where we can.
1. Our commitment
Sidebar Grill wants this website to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.
2. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test the website ourselves; it has not yet had an independent audit.
3. What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, and the link or button in focus is clearly outlined.
- Headings are in order, and the menu and pages can be read by screen readers.
- Text and background colours are chosen for strong contrast.
- Pages work on phones and when text is enlarged.
- Moving parts, such as the home page video, the dish slider, the Happy Hour sign and the daily deals, stay still when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Our full menu is on the Menu page as text, not only as PDF files.
4. Known limitations
- The video at the top of our home page and the dish slider start on their own and have no pause button. To stop them, turn on “reduce motion” in your device settings.
- Our downloadable PDF menus and the event brochure may not work well with screen readers. The menu is also on our Menu page as text, and we are happy to send event details by email.
- Reservations, online ordering and eGift cards run on our partners’ websites (OpenTable and our ordering partner). We cannot change those sites, but if one does not work for you, call us and we will help.
5. At the restaurant
The Mezz, our semi-private mezzanine, is reached by stairs only; there is no elevator. If you have questions about access, seating or dietary needs before your visit, call us and we will help you plan it.
6. Feedback and help
If something on this website does not work for you, or you need information in another format, tell us which page and what happened. We read every message and will reply.
